About Enlace Community Link
Enlace is a non-profit organization that focuses on welcoming farm workers to Ontario, offering them support services and guidance, providing relevant information, and organizing activities geared towards their wellbeing. We foster a connection with cultural elements from the workers’ home countries.
Our History
Enlace Community Link was founded by Lourdes Borofsky and a group of like-minded Mexican women in 2001. Enlace’s core objective has been to act as a link, or enlace, between farm workers and the resources in Canada available to them.
Enlace Community Link was established to welcome Mexican and other Latin-American farm workers to Ontario, to offer them support services, and it also provides social activities and fiestas with Mexican food and music to give the farm workers a little piece of Mexico.
What Lourdes Borofsky started, continues today with the support of a diverse and dedicated group of volunteers, following the same core objective and passions.
